At Aging Solutions, Inc., we face a significant challenge: ensuring that every vulnerable adult in Florida receives the guardianship services they need. Despite the growing demand, thousands of individuals remain underserved due to limited funding and resources. This gap leaves many Floridians without the critical support and protection they require to live with dignity and security.

The Reality of Underserved Populations

The statistics paint a stark picture of the challenges we aim to address:

  • Between 5,000 and 10,000 adults in Florida annually require public guardianship services but lack access due to insufficient funding.

  • All of Florida’s 67 counties currently offer public guardianship programs, leaving the majority of the state without coverage.

  • Over 350,000 elders in Florida live below the poverty line, many of whom cannot afford private guardianship services.

  • Approximately 444,000 individuals in Florida are expected to be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, leaving many without family or resources to manage their affairs.

These numbers reflect not just a lack of services but also the vulnerability of those who are left without care, advocacy, and protection.
